Key summary of the job role

MEC is one of the leading student recruitment agencies in Nigeria. As part of our business operations we also run a training institute in order to meet the needs of our clients. We prepare students for several foreign exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CELPIP, GRE, SAT, ACT, GMAT and local exams such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB e.t.c., and we have been doing this since 2009.

We urgently require the service of experienced Mathematics Tutors that will help to teach the quantitative components of SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB e.t.c., as would be required by our students from time to time. This role is a part time job role.

At the moment our physical training locations are Festac Town and Okota, both in Lagos, Nigeria, but we also conduct classes online across several platforms.

Job responsibilities

Oversee the quantitative/mathematics components of all our training programs.
Designing up to date training curriculum for SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB e.t.c.
Teaching and preparing students to undertake various foreign and local exams such as SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB e.t.c.
Make recommendation to the institute for the purchase of latest study materials for student use.
Part take in other activities as may be directed by the company.
Bring creative ideas to the company on how to expand her operations.

Person specific requirements

Minimum of bachelor degree.
Possess a good IT/computer skill.
Having a minimum of 1 year experience training and preparing students on the quantitative/mathematics component of SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB e.t.c., will be an added advantage.
Strong passion for teaching and impacting knowledge to others.
A result – driven personality.
Good attention to details.
