Key summary of the job role

MEC is one of the leading student recruitment agencies in Nigeria. As part of our business operations we also run a training institute in order to meet the needs of our clients. We prepare students for several foreign exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CELPIP, GRE, SAT, ACT, GMAT and local exams such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB e.t.c., and we have been doing this since 2009.

We urgently require the service of experienced English Tutors that will help to teach the Verbal components of the various exams that our students take. Tutors can work part time or full time depending on their choice. At the moment our physical training locations are Festac Town and Okota, both in Lagos, Nigeria. We also hold classes online across several platforms.

Job responsibilities

Oversee the verbal components of all our training programs.
Designing up to date training curriculum for our various exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CELPIP, GRE, SAT, ACT, GMAT and local exams such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB e.t.c.
Teaching and preparing students to undertake various foreign and local exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CELPIP, GRE, SAT, ACT, GMAT and local exams such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB e.t.c.
Make recommendation to the institute for the purchase of latest study materials for student use.
Part take in other activities as may be directed by the company.
Bring creative ideas to the company on how to expand her operations

Person specific requirements

Minimum of bachelor degree in any discipline.

Having a good IT/computer skill.
Good knowledge of English in both local and foreign exams.
Having a minimum of 1 year experience training and preparing students on the verbal component of IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, CELPIP, GRE, SAT, ACT, GMAT and local exams such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, JAMB e.t.c., will be an added advantage.
Strong passion for teaching and impacting knowledge to others.
A result – driven personality.
Good creative skills with keen attention for detail.
Good writing, listening, reading and speaking skills.
Strong desire to learn new things.
